Making do with what you have at its finest: a can of TJ's vegetable-lentil soup with that last egg, soft-fried, on top, and an old potato bun toasted with olive oil and a smashed garlic clove.

relatedly (sort of):i am starting to get so. excited. for foreign grocery stores. Unsurprisingly, I like to spend about three hours wandering around the grocery store when i visit a foreign country to see what sorts of wacky things they eat. it's going to be magnificent.
