Everything takes while to get to Canada. They still play early 90s rock in all the bars, and they still have Five-Alive in vending machines. Or should I say, Deli-Cinq.
I love looking at weird potato chips that other countries have to offer. These "all-dressed" Ruffles kinda have a sour cream 'n onion/barbecue/vinegar thing going on. Not sure what it's supposed to taste like, since, as the bottom right corner indicates, the flavour is simulated.
No photo today. Turns out I can't use my phone for photo-of-the-day in a foreign country without paying an arm and a leg for it. So, for the next 9 days I will be using a Kodak 7.0 Megapixel EasyShare M753. Thanks Champion!~ Location: Toronto, eh?
Making do with what you have at its finest: a can of TJ's vegetable-lentil soup with that last egg, soft-fried, on top, and an old potato bun toasted with olive oil and a smashed garlic clove.
Oh, migas, how I love you. Scrambled eggs with tomatoes, onions, chilis, tortilla strips, and cheese, served with pico de gallo, potatoes, black beans, and corn tortillas. Oh, that thing sitting on top of my tortillas? A blistered garlic clove. Thud. Add coffee and grits and Jamie is one happy camper.
I didn't have time to iron my shirt or wash my hair this morning, but my god I made an effort to sit in the sun for 10 minutes before my work day. Priorities, yo.
OMG BEST BAR EVER. It's called Barcadia, and in addition to adult beverages, the have skee ball, giant Jinga, Q-Bert, Miss PacMan, and all the old favourites.
A pretty damn perfect morning: coffee, eggs, hashbrowns, and Entertainment Weekly. (Bonus, the only thing I did was drink coffee and read my magazine while Roommate cooked and cleaned up.)
